8/29/2009 B.Y.O.W. (Bring your own water)

Dear friends of the Owens Valley,

Twenty-five years ago, the Owens Valley Committee quietly became a little group that makes big ripples in Owens Valley water management. This year, we would love to have your help celebrating the fact that we're still in the pool.

Please join us for the Owens Valley Committee's 25th birthday bash

**Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Masonic Temple, 156 East Line Street in Bishop, from 6 p.m. to midnight**

for a potluck, dance, silent auction, and fundraiser. Last Chance will help us kick up our heels with live music beginning at 8 p.m.; the silent auction will end at 8:30.

If you would like to volunteer to help, please e-mail our celebration's instigator-in-chief, Mark Bagley, at and let him know whether you would rather help prepare for, begin, sustain, or wrap up the party--or, if you're willing, more than one of the above!

Donations for our silent auction prior to August 29 are very welcome; as always, donations of any kind, including your time, criticism, praise, or opinions, are much appreciated any time. Party flyers are also available on our web site (

Many thanks for your continued interest in and support for the Owens Valley. We look forward to celebrating with you.
