OVC files lawsuit against DFG over adequacy of Hatchery and Stocking Program EIR

The Owens Valley Committee (OVC) filed a lawsuit February 9 against the California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) challenging the adequacy of DFG’s Hatchery and Stocking Program Environmental Impact Report (EIR). OVC’s lawsuit focuses on our concerns about the effects of groundwater pumping used to supply DFG’s Black Rock Rearing Ponds and Fish Springs Hatchery, both located in the Owens Valley. Read our full press release in "News" below, or click here to read our petition to the Court. If you'd like to know more, learn about this issue on our Black Rock (a.k.a. Blackrock) issues page.
