|Keeping track of water issues in the Owens Valley is about as easy as counting pollinators flying through a patch of apricot mallow. Want help? Join the Owens Valley Committee for our fifth meeting in a series of informal "water gossip" discussions Thursday, June 14, 2012, from 6:30 to 8:30. Pizza appears to agree with us, so we'll be meeting again at the Pizza Factory at 970 North Main Street in Bishop, California. We'll be back in the arcade room this month: To find us, go through the arcade door and turn left. We'll be in the large meeting room with glass windows on the east side of the arcade room.
We call it water gossip to emphasize that comfort's a priority, but the goal, as always, is to share information rather than rumors, so we'll stock the meeting with people who regularly wade through water documents and emerge on the other side. Please bring any questions you have about Owens Valley water issues or any information you want to share about local water pumping, policies, or practice. Or, if you'd rather, just bring your ears and the urge to lend them. As usual, little fish to big fish are welcome; red herrings are not on the menu.
