7/9/2009 Owens Lake, LORP, Blackrock to be discussed at Inyo/LA Standing Committee Meeting
The Inyo County/Los Angeles Standing Committee will meet this Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at the Tri-County Fairgrounds in Bishop, California. Topics on the agenda for discussion include the feasibility of pumping groundwater from below Owens Lake for dust mitigation and whether or not the Technical Group has reached any conclusions regarding groundwater pumping and vegetation degradation at Blackrock. Motorized access to Klondike Lake will also be discussed.


The public will be offered the opportunity to comment on each agenda item prior to any
Action on the item by the Standing Committee or, in the absence of action, prior to the
Committee moving to the next item on the agenda. The public will also be offered the
opportunity to address the Committee on any matter within the Committee’s jurisdiction
prior to adjournment of the meeting.
